Types of Membership

Life
Life Membership is bestowed upon a Professional or Fellow Member who has rendered outstanding service to the Association. It is awarded through a nomination process – it is not a category for which a member applies.

Fellow
Fellow Membership is available to Professional Members who demonstrate significant commitment and contribution to continued professional development, competency in career development, and contributions to leadership within CDAA.

Professional
Professional Membership is available to individuals who work in the career development profession, and can evidence completion of a Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) endorsed Graduate Certificate in Career Development or Vocational Graduate Certificate in Career Development, or meet the alternative pathway criteria.

Associate
Associate Membership is available to individuals who work in the career development profession and can evidence completion of a minimum academic qualification associated with the profession, or meet the alternative pathway criteria.

Read More

Student
Student Membership is available to individuals undertaking career development studies toward the status of Associate Member or Professional Member, usually with the objective of undertaking professional employment or establishing their own professional business within the career development arena.

Subscription
Subscription Membership is available to individuals who do not practice in the career development profession, but have an interest in being informed of current matters pertaining to career development and/or the CDAA.

Honorary
Honorary Membership is available by invitation only to individuals of significant reputation within the profession who are active or were previously active, in a senior role(s) in a not-for -profit organisation with similar objectives to the CDAA, whom the Association wishes to honour or partner to achieve mutually beneficial objectives.

Affiliate
Affiliate Membership is available by invitation only to not-for -profit organisations with similar objectives to the CDAA with whom the Association is partnering to achieve mutually beneficial objectives.

Retired
Retired Membership is available to individuals who were members of the CDAA when they were working and now retired, have an interest in continuing to be informed of current matters pertaining to career development and/or the Association.

Corporate
Corporate Membership is available to all businesses or organisations that are committed to public support of the career development profession and to supporting the career development of their employees.
