Webinar: Supporting Diversity in the Workplace

In this webinar, Nina Dobie from the CDAA TAS Division Committee will host a conversation with Emily Briffa, CEO of Hamlet Inc.

Hamlet is a social enterprise café based in Hobart, delivering targeted training and work readiness support to people facing barriers to employment, with a focus on people living with disability. The enterprise allows people to build independence, reconnect to their community and improve their chances of securing employment outcomes.

Emily co-founded Hamlet in 2016, aiming to tackle the issue of unemployment in Tasmania and to empower people to live meaningful lives in her community.

Join this webinar to gain insights into the lived experience of people with disability and other barriers to employment. You will learn about the strategies used by Hamlet to provide a supportive and empowering environment for people to gain skills and employment pathways.

Attendees will also better understand the role of social enterprises in creating inclusive and diverse workplaces, how to find them in your local area, what opportunities may be available for clients and what other employers could learn from their workplace culture.
