Webinar Series: Demystifying the Recruitment Process

One of the challenges we, as career practitioners, face is to be up-to-date with current recruitment trends.

In this online 2-workshop series we will hear directly from Recruitment Agents, AI/ATS providers and job board providers to demystify the modern recruitment process from go-to-whoa.

Importantly they’ll cover how to engage with recruiters and build relationships, a deep dive into how Applicant Tracking Software is used by professional recruiters and how this should impact resume tailoring as well as what to expect in an AI interview.

This will help us guide our clients in developing effective job search strategies.

Workshop #1: How to Engage with Recruiters and What to Expect with AI Interviews

This will be a panel discussion with a team of professional recruiters from Hudson Australia who will demystify the recruitment cycle from beginning to end, including how the ATS and AI interviewing is used by Hudson.

The Hudson team will be joined by the CEO of Sapia (formerly PredictiveHire), which supplies Hudson with its AI technology solution. Sapia will provide an overview of its AI Smart Interviewer ‘Phai’ including how widely it is used by Australian companies and for what level of candidates.

Panellists:

Angela Powell, Hudson

Angela Powell is Managing Director of Projects & Transformation for Australia that sits within their broader Technology business unit. They specialise in talent who can lead and deliver major business, digital or technology led transformations and projects.

Angela is an experienced business and people manager with a proven track record as both a leader and a recruiter in government and private sectors. Angela is trusted by her clients and candidates to achieve competitive, innovative and highly effective recruitment outcomes.

Peter Noblet, Hudson

Peter Noblet is an MD with Hudson. Specifically focused on the Technology space across Australia and NZ, Peter has over 25 years’ experience in the sector. Peter has had operational and strategic management responsibility for recruitment teams across the APAC region, working with global recruitment brands, as well as locally owned businesses.

He partners with a range of clients to advise on market trends and how they can maximise their effectiveness in winning the war for talent. His teams also work to build a deep understanding of the specific talent markets in which they operate, building engagement and ultimately ensuring they have access to the best.

Barb Hyman, Sapia

After a career working in senior executive roles, Sapia (formerly PredictiveHire) founder Barb Hyman realised that for organisations to transform their people, attract star talent and reduce churn they needed to build true one-on-one connection with people at scale.

With a background as a solicitor and consultant she left an executive role at one of the largest digital companies in Australia, to pursue her mission to help companies unlock and engage talent at scale. She believed ethical AI was the only solution and she set about building a world-class team to truly innovate in this area.

Workshop #2: How ATS Technology is Used to Assess Job Applications

In this workshop we will hear from Mark McGreal from JobAdder, who have developed Applicant Tracking Systems and Recruitment Software for recruitment agencies and in-house talent acquisition teams, 60% owned by Seek.

Mark has over 10 years working within the HR industry starting off as an agency recruiter, to working with best practice HR insights and technology and now with ANZ’s market-leading, cloud-based ATS and recruitment platform.

We will also be joined by Sean Foreshew, Customer Success Manager from Seek. He is an experienced recruiter with 6 years’ experience helping candidates find jobs and working with ATS tools to stand out.
