Webinar: Career Development Interventions Work!

Career development, when done well, can have a significant, positive impact on the individual at every stage of life as well as enhance wellbeing and contribute to our national growth.

The CDAA recently commissioned a report to investigate the effectiveness of and benefits from investment in professional and qualified career development practice.

Packed full of helpful infographics and real-life examples, the Career Development Works Report summarises the research. It provides evidence of the effectiveness of professional career development interventions and services and helps answer such questions as:

  • What are the most effective career development interventions?
  • How does working personally with a career practitioner enhance outcomes?
  • What are the career development skills that improve the likelihood of job search success?

In the Division survey earlier this year, many NSW CDAA members asked for PD content to help them promote and build their practice, and help them deliver best practice interventions.

The Career Development Works report gives us ready access to the facts and figures that provide the evidence that career development interventions work!  It also shares best practice career interventions across a variety of settings.

We are delighted to have Professor Peter McIlveen, one of the authors, present and discuss the findings of this Report.
