Webinar: 7 Steps to Helping Our Clients Become Unstuck

Pursuing career aspirations at any time of life requires courage. In this activity-based workshop, Eric Winters shares a simple 7-step model informed by Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) for helping coaches and their clients do more of what's personally important but challenging.

What stops our clients from pursuing their career goals?
Why do they hold themselves back from being fully seen and heard professionally and personally?
How can we help them to navigate each day with bold authenticity?

The 7-step model will help clients with:

  • Applying for the dream job
  • Having difficult conversations at work
  • Asking for what they’re worth
  • Putting themselves forward for promotion
  • Doing what's important but challenging

ACT is an evidence-based approach to building the skills needed to live, love and work courageously. The 7-step model is a development of the ACT Matrix originally developed by Dr Kevin Polk. This 'mindfulness-lite' approach assists with building psychological flexibility without ever mentioning any of the usual language associated with ACT. It avoids the need to explicitly train clients in mindfulness techniques. It’s simple – clients ‘get it’ quickly and coaches can use it in both individual and group coaching contexts.

The webinar is an abridged version of the acclaimed 'Using the ACT Matrix for Coaching Individuals and Teams' workshop delivered at the Sydney University Coaching Conference 2020.

Following on from this webinar Eric Winters has offered to provide a no-charge, 1 hour booster session on Tuesday, 23 March at 5.30pm. This provides a chance for people to come back and share their experiences, for Eric to provide a little more content, and do another quick practice together.
