We invite South Australian members and non-members to join us online for a professional discussion on ‘Increasing the Focus and Importance of Career Development in Education Settings.’

This discussion will be facilitated by CDAA Professional Members Chris Mesecke and Alan Davies (Current President CDAA Victoria Division.)

As a past Principal and Regional Career Development Officer, Alan has provided support to career practitioners in developing whole of school career development programs, initiated and led professional development, facilitated career-based forums and undertaken career reviews with schools and colleges.

Alan has continued as a strong advocate for engaging with education leaders in discussing the importance of aligning career plans with school strategic directions, clearly defined career practitioner roles, program budgets that support students’ flexible pathway options, employment of experienced staff, modelling best practice and monitoring the performance of career related programs.

Alan will share successful strategies and invite the professional input of members and educators, with a special welcome to school leaders.
