Join us online this July for a two-part program combining a pre-recorded webinar followed by a live Career Conversation.
After an outstanding presentation by Liane Hambly earlier this year, CDAA wanted to see her in action! We set her the challenge to perform the beginning of a career consultation with a client. And that is one of the many gems that this pre-recorded webinar contains.
The webinar recording covers some of the most difficult things we deal with:
- How to conduct a career consultation when time is limited
- How to gain cooperation from a client who doesn’t want to be there
- When to ask those deeper questions
- How to explain to others what we do
- What to do when our questions don’t work
- How to establish ground rules and make it interesting
This will appeal to you: whether you are new to career development and want to boost your confidence with the initial stages of an interview, or if you are an established career practitioner and what you do is now so routine you’d find it difficult to breakdown and describe it to others, perhaps you just want to work more creatively. It is aimed at career practitioners who work with any cohort and has specific advice for neurodiverse clients and students.
In true Liane style, her work is based on established processes and theory, and she has plenty of metaphors to get your creativity flowing.
After watching this video please join us for a live discussion on the webinar's content with CDAA SA Division President Eleanor Pannall who will lead the Career Conversation.
