CDAA and CDANZ are delighted to once again collaborate to bring you The Job Search Toolkit: Supporting Every Step. A practical six-part webinar series designed for professionals supporting people through every stage of the job search journey.
With unemployment and underemployment continuing to impact both Australia and New Zealand, staying current with the latest job search strategies, tools and resources has never been more important. This series will equip you with practical knowledge and approaches to help your clients navigate today's employment market with greater confidence and success.
Across six engaging webinars, you'll explore how to better coach and support clients to:
· maintain their mental health and wellbeing throughout the job search
· understand and leverage the many pathways to finding work
· use LinkedIn strategically with different client groups

Session 1: Toolbox Talk
An opening session to set the scene for the series, explore key job search support themes and gather participant reflections through scoping and feedback questions.
Presenters
Jennie Miller
Jennie is the Executive Director of CDANZ and also a career development leader in Aotearoa New Zealand with experience in career counselling and job-search support. She brings a CDANZ perspective to practical, standards-informed professional learning.
Kate Flaherty
Kate is a Principal Career Development Practitioner and clinical counsellor, and serves as CDAA National President. She brings experience across career development, counselling and professional leadership.
Glenda O'Brien
Glenda is a Registered Professional Career Development Practitioner and career consultant with experience across career development, education and professional learning.

This session will focus on helping practitioners support clients who are vulnerable during job loss, transition from education, return to work or other job-search pressure points.

This session will focus on how career practitioners can support clients to develop and strengthen their LinkedIn profile and use LinkedIn or other online platforms as a pathway to employment. This session incorporates the latest changes in algorithms.

Session 5: The Real Deal on Job Applications
This session will provide insight into the recruitment and application process, including how recruiters and hiring managers review applications, tailoring applications, cover letters, common mistakes that screen candidates out early, and practical strategies to help clients apply with confidence and impact.
