Career Coach JD
•Plan, organise, and conduct individual sessions.
•Assists clients to understand their abilities, talents, interests, and personality characteristics in order to develop realistic career options.
•Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation in order to prepare clients for audits, homework, exploration and creating an action plan.
•Adjust coaching techniques, based on the strengths and weaknesses of clients.
•Uses key coaching principles/establishes good interpersonal relationship by helping people feel valued, appreciated, and included in discussion, enhances self-esteem, empathises, involves, discloses, and supports.
•Provide specific and objective feedback about career tasks and/or activities.
•Maintain accurate and complete records as required.
•Instruct clients in the coaching process, self-understanding, strategies for exploration, making a career decision and what steps are necessary to complete a comprehensive action plan to achieve desired results.
•Assists clients with career development and locating and applying for jobs, including writing resumes and improving job interviewing techniques, learning how to network effectively and tap into the hidden job market.
•Help clients identify their natural strengths, personality, behavior, motivations, goals, abilities and desires. Through active listening and having a comprehensive toolkit that will help clients first identify their goals and then move toward them faster than one individual could do alone.
To be successful in this role you must have:
•A bachelor's degree, in a related field such as business, psychology or HR.
•Work experience in coaching or a related field will be highly regarded.
•Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
•The ability to handle a variety of tasks, prioritise and problem solve are also important.
•A passion for helping others understand and communicate their true value
