In a difficult economy the services of Career Development Practitioners are even more important. Our private clients need our support as they try to change jobs or career direction. Our school students need us as they get despondent with negative news media stories about the economic future. Our corporate clients need us to deal with the nasties that come with a global economic downturn……..redundancies, a tougher work environment.
At least we feel needed! But being needed brings with it a lot of pressure, and our personal and professional need for a strong network of like-minded people.
Start the year off by learning how to improve your networking skills, and practicing those networking skills among your peers.
NB: Bring a colleague who is not a member of CDAA for FREE.
Commencing at 5.30 with refreshments, for a 6.15 guest speaker.
Cost: A bargain………deliberately kept as low as possible to encourage you to come along and network with other Career Development Professionals.
Speaker:
Terri Cooper from The Cooper Consultancy is affectionately known by friends and colleagues as “The Networking Queen”. Terri now shares the secrets of her networking success through her workshops, personal consultations and corporate group training. Terri’s business has been built solely through networking.
“Networking doesn’t come naturally to everyone” says Terri. “Most people need a helping hand to develop these skills, and having been there myself – I know what it took to gain confidence and obtain results from my networking.”
Terri will speak about how networking can contribute to our personal success, regardless of the context in which we work.
