CDAA 2009 National Careers Conference

15/04/2009 - 9:00am
17/04/2009 - 3:30pm
Venue:
Grand Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne

Get Smart: Career Development value adds for people and business is the central theme for the conference. This conference is about the positive value-adding outcomes of career development for our students, clients, for working people at all stages of the lifespan, and for the nation’s businesses and industry. This inspiring theme will be explored through the four key strands of:

Smart Future Directions

Delegates will be inspired and challenged to consider how we as a profession, and as individual practitioners, can best contribute to the successful and sustained future of Australians at all stages of the lifespan and their employing businesses and industries.

Smart Career Development Initiatives

This sub-theme will capture current best practice career development initiatives within all sectors of the career development profession and with clients at all stages of the lifespan.

Smart Exchanges between business and industry

As Career Development Practitioners, we need to be aware of the needs of the businesses and industries that our students and clients will work within. And we need to effectively communicate the value our professional input has for those same businesses and industries. Smart exchanges are two way communications, each learning the language of the other and working together to achieve value-adding and sustainable outcomes for all involved.

Smart Research

The Conference also provides a forum for the presentation of eminent research in the careers field.
