CDAA NSW Division Committee would like to welcome our new members, who have joined in the last 6 months or thinking of joining, to meet and greet with the NSW Division Committee and learn how to make the most of your CDAA Membership. All members are encouraged to join us to welcome our newest and potential CDAA members and discuss benefits of CDAA membership.

CDAA National Conference 2011, Panel Discussion, 6.00pm – 8.00pm

For those of us who could not make it to Sunny Queensland, the NSW CDAA Division is bringing you a panel of Conference Attendees to discuss some of the key insights from the conference. The panel will participate in a facilitated discussion, followed by your opportunity to review how you will implement knowledge and information learned into your own environments.

We are pleased to welcome the following diverse group of panel members to share their insights from the conference:

  • Dr. Denise Jepsen – Senior Lecturer, Macquarie University
    Denise teaches in the school of Business and Economics, in the areas of human resource management and organisational behaviour. Prior to entering academia, Denise had written four books on career transition, was a licensed stockbroker and founded a private employment agency. Denise is currently working on the funded research project: Tackling the Allied Health Worker Crisis: A Stakeholder Perspective on Attitudes towards Career Longevity, Employee Retention and Career Re-Entry.
  • Dr. Marian Kratzing, Psychologist, Careers Avenue
    Marian facilitated a workshop on Mindfulness in Career Counselling at the CDAA National Conference 2011. Marian is a careers and organisational Psychologist. She has an honours degree and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Queensland. Marian founded Career Avenues in Sydney in 1991 and specializes in career profiling, outplacement and recruitment.
  • Sue Maclean - Senior Education Officer, Career Development and Vocational Learning, NSW Department of Education (DET)
    Sue provides policy advice and operational support for schools and TAFE colleges/campuses on vocational learning including developing and implementing programs and strategies on work and career education. Sue previously held positions as Central Coast Vocation Education Consultant and Careers Adviser at Erina High School.
  • Ann Wilson, Private Career Practitioner
    Ann’s Career Portfolio includes counselling, training and training coordination and administration/management across the public and private sectors for a goodly number of years. She is renowned as a fantastic advocate for the CDAA and an active member of the association. She is also a Registered Psychologist and Medicare Provider.
  • Marijke Wright - Careers Counsellor, University of Technology, Sydney
    Marijke is currently involved in developing and facilitating workshops with students, liaising with faculties to provide discipline-specific career development and she has more recently focused on locating career development learning across the curriculum. Marijke Wright is the National Vice President for the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA).

CDAA National Conference 2011, Panel Discussion (6pm-8pm): The Anzac Suite, Level 2, 99 York St, Sydney NSW 2000 (please take the glass sliding doors to the left of the club entrance). Tea, Coffee, and Finger Food will be provided from 6pm, Panel Discussion will begin promptly at 6.30pm.

Transport: Town Hall is the closest train station and many bus routes service York Street.

  • $ 40.00 (including GST) CDAA members*
  • $ 45.00 (including GST) Corporate Rate (CICA Member Associations available on www.cica.org.au, AHRI Members, Corporate Members of CDAA )
  • $ 50.00 (including GST) non-members
  • *SPECIAL OFFER: $20 for CDAA new members (joined in the last 6 months)

Refund Policy:

Cancellations can be made by email up to 5 pm on Friday 20th May,2011. Your fees will be refunded, less a $10 administration charge. Registrations may be transferred to another person for the event, but you must advise us of this.
