Membership Categories

  • Student - people studying a recognised career-specific qualification (Application Form).
  • Associate - people who have completed at least component two of the Australian Career Development Studies (www.career.edu.au) and are currently working in the career development field (Application Form).
  • Professional (PCDAA) - practitioners with a bachelor degree qualification in a discipline relevant to career development (Relevant qualifications can include professional disciplines in psychology, counselling, education, human resources, rehabilitation, and social work.) and significant career development experience (not less than two years full-time equivalent in the five-year period preceding the date of application) (Application Form).
  • Fellow (FCDAA) - advanced membership category available to Professional Members of long standing that have considerable experience.
  • Life (PCDAA/FCDAA life) - bestowed upon a professional member who has rendered outstanding service to the Association.
